Here are some verses for Christmas cards and e-cards:

The giftto meet

The Christmas season fills our hearts with joy;

Bright, happy days bring special kinds of pleasure.

We are all wrapped up in the excitement,

The sites, sounds, smells, tastes we treasure.

But if we have some quiet time to think

Our best blessings for the whole year,

We focus on our family and friends,

And appreciate the gift, you know!

rhyming poems are more difficult to write thatfree verse or prose poems (which modern poets favor), there are fewer and harder to find.

Here's another Christmas card poem, written especially for California, people who spend Christmas in the sun, warm areas like Florida and South:

A Sunny Christmas

Every Christmas

Is not a sign of snow.

Instead, we spend our yuletide days

Under the hot sun glare happy.

We have the best of ChristmasThings

The lights, gifts, bells,

(And "snowbirds" who arrive en masse

To fill our beach hotels.)

The glorious weather fits into

With our happy Christmas mood,

And we can go run and also

Without being snowshoed.

In order not to feel your (Bath City) Friends

Who does not snow or ice.

We think our sunny Christmas here

It is a vacation paradise!
